Use that list to save more at the Supermarket…..

How often have you been shopping at the supermarket only to get to the check out & find out your bill is 3 times the amount you expected & your trolley is full even though you went in for 10 items!!!

Supermarkets are designed carefully so you do this,  so the major tool in your armoury is to make a list……..yes it’s really as simple as that - spend 10 minutes planning what you need before you leave home & stick to it………you can make a couple of exception for those loss leader super specials, but only if they are thing you would normally buy anyway.  If you do this frequently you will be able to get to the point where you have your weekly staples & can keep them in a list on your PC  - sounded to me like a lot of work, but you really can save money this way………A couple of other ideas if you have time is to seek out specials, & buy in bulk.

That weekly cup of Coffee just costs you $840 !

We’ve all heard it, but just take a moment again to work out how much you can save by forgoing that daily cup of coffee at work, waiting for the train, or in the shopping centre. Say one cup a day, at $3.50 (in many places much much more…) 5 times a week for 48 weeks a year. A princely sum of $840.00 out of your taxed income each & every year……..Ah, I hear you say I don’t do this every day - no probably not, but you get the idea - sometimes you really need want that cup of coffee, & on those days go for it……but how much better can the money be used when it’s more routine than desire.
